At the heart of Tabernacle is a simple yet powerful goal: to be true followers of Jesus. Through biblical teaching, worship, and intentional discipleship, we help individuals deepen their walk with Christ. Our faith is not just for Sundays—it shapes how we live every day.

Tabernacle Baptist Church functions as a completely independent church. We like to think we are a “baptist” church with a ‘small b.” You don’t have to be a Baptist to be a part of TBC. Or come from any church background for that matter. The most important thing about us is that we are committed to following Jesus with our lives. Our mission is to follow Jesus, build community with one another and make our lives count by serving others.
You can know God’s gift of forgiveness and promise of eternal life, too!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Baptism is the outward expression of a commitment and belief in Jesus as Savior and Lord. It’s a big step! But we’ll help you along the way.

By studying God’s Word and staying connected in a church family, you will grow in your faith each day. “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

There is one God, eternally existing in three co-equal Persons, namely the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power.

Salvation is the gift of God and is offered freely to all who trust in Jesus for forgiveness of sins. All have sinned, but “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Those who refuse to accept Christ as Savior and Lord will forever be separated from God.
Matthew 22:37-40, Ephesians 5:23-27, and Matthew 5:13-16
The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and making disciples, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. A visible, local church is a family of believers in Jesus Christ who have been baptized on a confession of faith. Tabernacle is an autonomous church operating under the leadership of Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change that has occurred in the life of the believer. It is an identification with Christ by picturing his death, burial and resurrection. It is the first commandment a new Christian is given from the Lord Jesus.
Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-32
The Lord’s Table, or Communion, is an opportunity for personal examination and reflection as we observe the “Lord’s death until He comes.” The bread and cup are symbols of His body and blood which were broken and poured out for our salvation and is done in “remembrance” of Him until He comes again. All who have faith in Jesus are invited to participate.
For over 130 years, we’ve welcomed every generation into a vibrant, Christ-centered community that honors the past while looking ahead with hope. Come learn more about how our history shapes who we are today.
